I read ' The Scarf'. The main character is Anneena. She made a long scarf with her mum. It was soooooo long because she could not stop knitting.

One day, she played with Biff and chip, and she put on her scarf. They went to the pond of the park with her mother. The pond was frozen and really dangerous. Some children meddled in Anneena and pulled her scarf. They stopped pulling it, but a boy of them started to frisk on the frozen pond. As I mentioned it, the pond was really dangerous! Anneena's mum warned him, but he fall into water in spite of Anneena's mum warned. So other people tie Anneena's long scarf and arms of their coats. And then, they rescued the boy. He said 'I am really sorry and thank you very much!!' Anneena's long scarf was very useful in saving him. (147 words)

BR11:＊The Camcorder＊

I read 'The Camcorder'. Wilma's father bought a camcorder to make a lot of videos. He usually brings it when they have something even if it is usual or special. For example, children played in the yard, Jo's wedding ceremony, mum and dad's 10th anniversary. When they had an anniversary party, dad teach Wilma haw to use the camcorder and she made a video of them. It is easy to use it even child use. So, she wanted to make a video of tree house of Wilma, Wilf, Chip and Biff. When Wilma uses camcorder, some bodies ran away from the house next door. They were burglars!! She kept making their video while they ran away from the house. Then, dad called police and asked to come and catch them. When the police came to Wilma's house, burglar's got away from there. But the video which Wilma made became an evidence of it, so the police could catch burglars!! The police really thanked to Wilma.

It was just an accident but I thought that she was a brave girl. Because if burglar had been found her, she would have died. (188 words)

I read 'Poor Old Mum!' The main characters are mum, dad, Wilma and Wilf.

One day, they had a sports festival of their home town. All people were all fired up for the competition, of course Wilma's family, too. They took part in many kinds of competition for example, the long jump, running race, the egg and spoon race and so on. Wilma, Wilf and their dad came good position. Especially, Wilma came first!! Every member of her family was glad about it. Next, it was Mum's turn. She was in a race. At first of the race, she ran the head of all, but unfortunately, she tripped over something and fell on her face. So, she was last in the race. She was really sorry about it to family.

Then, dad put a blindfold on mum and Wilma and Wilf gave new running shoes, a bunch of flowers, message card to mum, and a medal which they made and printed 'BEST MUM'. They had a surprise to encourage her.

Mum was last in the race, but she is the best mum for family. I want to be like her who is loved everyone. I respect her very much!! (199 words)

I read ‘The Flying Elephant.’

One day, Mum went shopping to the supermarket with children. After children got off a car, they found an elephant advertising balloon on top of the building. When they looked it laughed and told mother to watch it. But she said just ‘An elephant? Don’t be silly.’ After shopping, there was a big storm and it rained a lot. Unfortunately, the elephant was bleed away by the storm. Then it arrived at children’s school. They found it when they went to school and told Mrs. May, but she said same lines of their mum. And then, men from a supermarket went to school and brought back the elephant.

First, even children told mum about the elephant, she did not believe it. So, the elephant came to school to let know his existence. (137 words)

BR8:＊The Wedding＊

I read ‘The Wedding.’ The main characters In this story are Wilma and Biff.

One day, their aunt Jo was getting married. So they attend her wedding ceremony. Wilma wanted to be a bridesmaid; it is a young woman or girl who helps a bride before and during the marriage ceremony. So when she heard the news of her aunt get married, she was really happy! On the other hand, Wilf was unhappy because he thought that he has to be a pageboy; it is the opposite of a bridesmaid. He did not wear lovely suit.

Then, their grandmother came to their house to prepare and attend the wedding ceremony. Their mother and grandmother made a dress of Wilma. When Wilf looked it, he thought ‘Oh no!’ Even grandmother made cake for the wedding and Biff and Chip praised Wilma’s nice dress, he did not feel better for a long time. Few days later, his mother, Jo and grand mother went shopping and bought something for Wilf. To his surprise, it was a suit for wilf to wear at the wedding ceremony. He was really surprised and getting better! Then, they could hold the wedding of Jo peacefully. They had a super time!! Of course, Wilf had a super time, too!!!

I thought that attitude of Wilf to express his hatred about be a pageboy. But I felt relieved because he had a precious wedding ceremony in his life. (239 words)

BR7:＊The Storm＊

I read ‘The Storm.’ Four children appear in this story. Wilf, Wilma, Biff and Chip, they are really good friends. And they have a tree house on the premises of Biff and Chip’s house.

One day, they went to their tree house to play. It was really messy and broken the door and so on. So they started to fix and clean with Biff and Chip’s father. They decided how to divide up the parts among us. Father mended the roof, Biff and Wilma mended the door using the screwdriver, and Chip and Wilf painted the door and the walls each other. Cleaning and fixing had finished, and then they bring the stuffs and something to eat. They held a party in the comfortable tree house. At that night, there was a large scale storm in the town. It has never stopped for a long time even time went by. Four children were worried about their tree house whether it was blown by this big storm. After the large scale storm passed away, Biff and Chip went and saw the tree house with their dog Floppy. Unfortunately, the tree was blown by the storm, the tree house, too. Suddenly, Floppy barked and found something at the place what the tree was planted. It was a box and they found a key inside.

I can not understand a key which how to use it and a box. But Chip satisfied to get the box. I want to build their new tree house again!! (252 words)

BR6:＊I WiSH＊

I read ‘I WiSH’. The main characters are three boys. Their each names are Pele, Ron and pete. They always hang out together.

One day, Pele complained about school. ‘I hate school! I hate reading!’ When other two boys heard that they agreed about it. They started to talk about hate of school, for example, reading the books, writing the stories and so on. Finally, they said ‘I am sick of being a slave,’ Dudes, school is like a bad smell…’ They seem really do not like school. Then, three boys planed to run away from a school to the Pacific Ocean by the boat for their holidays. After few weeks, they left their town and trip to get their freedom. Then they arrived at an uninhabited island. Pele, Ron and Pete were really glad to it and enjoyed their freedom, because they do not need to writing, reading and studying. They enjoyed the freedom very much! But, they started to get tired of their freedom as it was enough for them. Suddenly, they want to quite their freedom lives and found certain bottle. Pele caught it and to get open it by himself. It was really hard to open. He gripped the cork tightly and pulled and pulled … Suddenly, three boys saw a giant genie standing over them in a cloud of smoke. He said ‘Thank you!’ because opening the bottle connected with saving a giant genie. According to his telling, he can get come true three boy’s wish. As three boys grew tired of living there, they said ‘We want to go back to school and studying!!’ And then, a giant genie got come true their wish.

Sometimes, I think that want to get a freedom. But in my opinion, too much freedom and our free time are not necessary for us. Moderate amount of them is the best for us!! I could reconfirm about it. (319 words)

BR5:＊Shark!＊

I read ‘Shark!’. This story is separated in 3 chapters. The main characters are Matt and Corban, they are really good friends. Both boys always hang over together.

One day, they surfed with their each surf board on the sea. Then, for a moment Corban looked something and shouted ‘Hey. Matt, did you see that?’ But Matt did not see any thing. After that, they continued to ride the surf after a short time. Both boys cut to the right, left and raced down the face of the wave. Next, Matt saw something swimming in the sea when they ride the surf. Suddenly, they were worried about it what it might be shark!!! Then, it showed its tail fin to two boys. When they saw it, their fear increased more and more. And then, Corban stared closely into the sea and said ‘I do not think it is a shark because its tail fin does not stick up. Shark’s tail fins always stick up!’ Matt agreed his opinion. Then, a dolphin appeared from the water. Two boys and the dolphin enjoyed surfing together!!

If I were Matt or corban, I could not tell that is the shark or the dolphin. They experienced fear but, their knowledge helped them from the fear. (211 words)

BD4:＊The Baby Day＊

I read ‘The Baby Day’. Main characters are Billy has a baby sister, his sister Jasmine and Clare. Clare seems clever and different. All of her classmates admire her very much. And then, she always thinks her old school and teacher were best in the world. She throws her weight about among her classmates about her past. So I think classmates were overpowered by her attitude.

Then their teacher asked Billy to study about baby with his classmates. He really puzzled about it. But when he asked about it his mother, in his surprised, she agreed about it really gladly!! So The Baby Day was held at his school.

In the class, everyone is going to measure Billy’s baby, to paint her and so on. But Jasmine played herself here and there. So the plans came to nothing at all. Finally, she began to play with the paintbrush and toddled around the room. Even the clever girl Clare was thrown into confusion and laughed very much.
Finally, all of the classmates warm up to each other.

In my opinion, she wanted to warm up to other classmates but she is not obedient. So she could not express her feelings well. Then, Billy’s younger sister Jasmine became a good clue for Clare. (211 words)

BR3:＊The Little Giraffe＊

I read ' The Little Giraffe'. The main characters are a little giraffe and rhinoceros, Rhino. A little giraffe is the first giraffe in the world. The difference between now and long time ago is the length of giraffe's neck. Giraffe in this story is really shorter than now. Giraffe and Rhino are really good friends and live in East Africa. It is really hard to get their food for them. So they asked the wise man to get some advises. He said 'Please come here again tomorrow and I will give some advises to you.' Then, a little giraffe went there again but only him. The wise man prepared a magic drink for them. But Rhino did not come there, so a little giraffe drink it all. To him great surprise, his neck became soooo long!!! So, he can eat upper leaves that he could not reach before. Finally, Rhino could not drink a magic drink, so he is still angry now.

I heard that the giraffes's neck were short. But I did not know this story. This story is really cute and interesting. (185 words)

BR2:＊How Elephants lost their wings＊

I read ‘How Elephants lost their wings.’ The main characters in the story are elephants with wings, two gods.

The elephants which live long time ago, they had big and beautiful wings to fly. They could fly everywhere they want to go. But they are really noisy, so it is not comfortable for two gods, other animals and plants. The elephants yelled, fell down the houses and so on. The two gods thought a plan which they took away the elephants’ wings after elephants slept. The two gods succeeded their plan. After elephants woke up, they were really angry and acted violently because they had no wings. But they never get their wings again, so finally they were calm down.

In my opinion, the elephants make a good impression, for example gentle. So the elephants in this story are a little bit violently, I could not imagine different type of the elephants. (152 words)

BR1:＊The Magic cooking Pot＊

I read ‘The Magic Cooking Pot.’ The main character of the story is a little girl lives here. She and her mother do not have enough money to live together. So they are always hungry. One day, the little girl goes out to the forest and cries because she had reached the limit of her hungry. Then an old woman spoke to the little girl in the forest. Suddenly, the old woman gives the magic cooking pot which can cook nice hot porridge by itself. After that, a little girl brings back to her house and eat nice hot porridge with her mother. So they were able to eat nice hot porridge whenever they want to eat it. Several days later, the little girl goes out her house. When she was not her house, her mother wanted to eat the porridge. First, she can say the right words to make cook the porridge but she can not say the right wards to make stop cooking. The pot made the porridge more and more!! After a short time, the little girl rushed to her house, then said the right words to make stop making after all.

First, I thought the magic cooking pot is really good tool for them, because they have no money to live. But after I read a part of the accident of the pot, the best way to live is do not rely on the magic. (239 words)

*SCARY MOVIE*

I read ‘SCARY MOVIE.’ The story of it was the two girls were entrusted nursing Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s baby. And they gave the scary DVD to the two girls as a salary. Then Mr. Smith tapped the top of a glass cage on his way out and talked to something. But the two girls did not understand. When they started to watch the DVD some black, hairy thing was moving top of the couch. They were really surprised at it and the thing was a huge spider! Finally, Mr. & Mrs. Smith came back to home so the two girls were relieved very much.

I also do not like the scary DVD and am not good at the bugs any more. Especially, I hate the spiders!! If I experience the incidence like the two girls experienced, I will die!! (140 words)

*CORDUROY Makes a Cake*

I read ‘CORDUROY Makes a Cake.’ The story of it is about the corduroy makes a birthday cake for his owner. After she left the house, he started to make a cake. But he dusted a bag of flour himself off and he mess the all room in the house! Suddenly, his owner’s mother came back home then, she was surprised messy house and she made neat the house before her daughter came back home with her friends to held a birthday party. Her daughter got a lot of presents from her friends. Then, she got the box which corduroy in it! She opened it and picked him up and held him. She said ‘ I love my corduroy cake!’

I think the owner is really happy! He is the only corduroy which says ‘Happy Birthday.’ to the owner. I want corduroy like it. (145 words)

*Elmo says ACHOO!*

I read ‘Elmo says ACHOO!’ The story of it is about when Elmo says ‘Achoo!’, always happen something. For example, Bert stacking cans at the store. When Elmo sneezes, all the soup cans fall which Bert builds!
Snoozing is a little bit annoying me. But Elmo’s sneeze is really cute^^. (50 words)

*TIME TRAVEL: THE DINOSAURS*

I read 'TIME TRAVEL: THE DINOSAURS.' The story of it is about time traveling to the back in time. Older sister Georgia and younger brother Charlie went to the back in time by the odd tree. And they saw many dinosaurs there. Charlie was really scared the dinosaurs but Georgia did not scare them because she thought the dinosaurs want get along with them and want to be friends. But he would not to her advice any more. He ran and away then he backed to the odd tree. Finally, she was left along there. Even she thought the dinosaurs want to become friends, she want to go back home very much. After younger brother went back, she also went back using the odd tree. They met the house then, she said 'Time travel is cool. I'm going to do it all the time.'

When she goes somewhere, he always goes, too. I thought they are great sister and brother. In addition, he really like her and also respect her!! (170 words)

*The Barbecue*

I read ‘The Barbecue.’ The story of it is about a accident of family’s party. The main character is Dounut and his family member; his mother, sister and his step father. One day, they held the party for Ms. Pringle for her birthday. Many people were invited the party and enjoyed it very much. She is really good at playing the piano, so she played the piano with Mr. Pringle’s singing. But his singing is very bad!! When he were singing, he was in the seventh heaven. Then he began to climb the wood and were singing at the topmost branches. Ms. Pringles persuaded him to come down, but nobody can stop his excite. When he came to, he became scary suddenly. Then an audience called the brigade. Finally, Mr. Pringle were helped by them safety.

The firefighter was Sam’s father who rescued Mr. Pringle. She thought ‘Why my parents could not be like the Pringles.’ I hope that her parents will be able to become like the Prigles.(169 words)

*Beyond Strange Street*

I read ‘Beyond Strange Street.’ The story of it is about a girl go to a wild adventure. She rode a lift of her house, and then she arrived ‘WILD WOODS.’ There were many kinds of strange things; big frog, speaking and screaming woods and an ugly little creature! They were really strange and scary for her but she wants to go back home, she had no choice to go back her home early. The strange creature wanted help to find his glasses but she had already found them because they ware top of his head. Then, she asked it and he thanked about it. Finally, he expressed his thanks to her to appear the lift to go back to her home.

I thought the strange creature was a little bit sarcastic man because he called her ‘silly girl’ and the like. But real his personality is really honest and has a feeling heart! He is a little shy, so he says abuse to someone. In our real life, there are sarcastic person like him, so we have to understand his real personality and we have to attend to them honestly and softly. (193 words)

*Jojo Makes the TEAM*

I read ‘Jojo Makes the TEAM.’ The story of it was girl Jojo wants play soccer with other boys but some of them are really mean people. So she could not practice soccer to take part in the tournament. But another nice students practice soccer with her! Then she has become quite proficient in soccer thanks to them. On the game day, she scored one point. Finally, her soccer team beat an opponent. She became the goddess of the victory!!

When I read this book, I could reconfirm the importance of relationship among other people around me. In addition, I am always supported by parents, brothers, friends, teachers… Thanks to supporting me!! (112 words)

I read ’A Dog Named SAM. ’The book has 3 mini stories in the book, ‘Fetch, Sam’, ‘Get Out of the Water, Sam’, ‘Good Night, Sam.’ I want to write a review of the second story of the three stories.

Sam liked water, so he was good at swimming very much. He always thought that I want to jump into the water!! But he was always stopped jumping into the water by all people. One day, Molly and Noah; they are his owners are playing with their friends in the water. When he watched it , he ran to jump into the water by a sudden impulse. They and Sam had a really good time in the water. (118 words)
