My favorite place is Kumamoto Gakuen University. There are many comfortable places for me. So, I will write about some my favorite ones.
First, I like library in my college very much. In my opinion, one of the important points which I feel comfortable is quiet place. Maybe it is common opinion for most people. So I think that we want to refresh, we usually prefer a quiet place to a noisy place. The library is quiet, so it is the most suitable place to study. When I have to study for test, I always use it.
I think the library is really suitable for connecting place to meet my friends. Because there are a lot of books, magazines, PCs, DVDs and so on. We can enjoy reading books, using PCs, watching DVDs, and until we meet friends. So we are able to wait for our friends without feeling bored. In addition, when we want to study and discuss with our friends, we usually go to Study room in the library. We are allowed to study with talking with our friends only there. Then, we can study and relax in the library, so I love our library very much.
Next, another favorite place in KGU is Bakery. I usually use there when I have free time or lunch. If I go to there with no plan, I can meet my classmates. I think most of KGU students love there, too. There are many kinds of bread and desert. I have eaten many kinds of breads till now, for example, I had tomato pizza, brown sugar, blue berry bagel, bread with some cheese and cut hamburger. Every student has
Favorite breads each other. And when I go there at bakery is not crowd, I can talk a little bit to workers. That is one of my valuable times because I do not see the students who talk to workers in bakery. I want to make deeper relationship with them.
Of course if we do not want to have breads, we can stay there to chat, study and so on. One day my friend worried about the relationship with her boyfriend. So we talked about it and gave some advice her with some friends. Then, the bakery became important and favorite place for us.
Finally, I think that entered this college was really good decision and it can be my precious experience for me in the future. I want to spend my limited school life with studying and relaxing in the library, and enjoying every things with my friends in the Bakery; my favorite places. (433 words)

Essay 1a: Favorite place/ Essay

BR2:＊How Elephants lost their wings＊
I read ‘How Elephants lost their wings.’ The main characters in the story are elephants with wings, two gods.
The elephants which live long time ago, they had big and beautiful wings to fly. They could fly everywhere they want to go. But they are really noisy, so it is not comfortable for two gods, other animals and plants. The elephants yelled, fell down the houses and so on. The two gods thought a plan which they took away the elephants’ wings after elephants slept. The two gods succeeded their plan. After elephants woke up, they were really angry and acted violently because they had no wings. But they never get their wings again, so finally they were calm down.
In my opinion, the elephants make a good impression, for example gentle. So the elephants in this story are a little bit violently, I could not imagine different type of the elephants. (152 words)

Next, I chose Saki’s (http://saki-kiyota.blogspot.com/2009/07/portfolio-for-writingiii.html）, in her blog she said ‘We should include other media and links on our blogs.’ I did that, but it was not enough.

about my prefereces
Q. Which is more refreshing and tasty?
Answer: I prefer ice cream to kakigori. Because I think ice cream is sweeter than kakigori. If I want to refresh my mind to have something to eat, sweet food help to refresh.
Q. Which is better music?
Answer: I like rock better than jazz. In my opinion, when I want to listen to the music, the situation is when I want to refresh. So I think rock music is able to raise my motivation up than jazz music.
Q. Which would be more exciting?
Answer: I think a last-minute goal on the soccer game would be more exciting for me. Because I can feel excitement on urgent time on the game.
Q. Which is more useful?
Answer: If I have to choose and use only one of them, I choose a spoon. We can ladle up soup by using a spoon ,so I choose it. (153 words)
